There are fundamentally two types of Rusk. First that is make from a loaf of bread and second that is make from a cake.

Eat Crispy homemade Cake Rusk

Since Homemade Rusk is a dry and hard biscuit, they are best-dunked Tea. It becomes soft and just melts in your month.

Notes Down The Ingredients For Cake Rusk

Butter 100 grams for room temperature

All-purpose flour 1 cup

Sugar 1 cup

Eggs 3

Baking powder 1 tsp

Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Methods

First, start by beat the room temperature butter till it starts to turn foamy.

Once it turns into a foam, pour in the sugar in and until creamy texture.

Take the one-by-one eggs With a mixer, preferably an electrical one for ease, mix until it starts to the change color.

Now add the dry ingredients gradually into wet ingredients.

With a spatula mix slowly from bottom to top to prevent any lumps from forming. Mix until all the flour is properly incorporated into the mixture.

Lastly, preheat your oven to 180 c for 30-35 minutes Pour the cake mixture in the prep pan.

Bake for 30 minutes until a tooth stick inserted in the center comes out clean.Let the cake cool for 15 minutes.

Cut the cake into equal slices.

Place the cake slices on a prep baking tray and bake for 10-12minutes and after 10 minutes, take out the tray and flip the cake rusks to bake the other side for 10-12 minutes again.Next the each sides should be golden and crispy.

What type of butter do you need?

You can also use unsalted butter in this recipe or any type of plant-based butter instead of dairy. However, you need to know the exact substitution ratios for each one. Often non-dairy butter is lighter so you may need to use larger portions. In addition, this substitution may alter the flavor and/or texture.

What are the best beverages to serve it with?

The cake rusk is a winner by itself but if you serve with a fine cup of milk tea, the combination is a killer!
