Gajar ka Halwa (Carrot Halwa) is a delight full sweet. Traditionally Indian sweet here is the Carrot Halwa recipe. Gajar Halwa originated in Punjab, it is a delight during the winter months. how to make gajar halwa

Rinse the almond two times in regular water. Soak 20 almonds in hot water. Drain all the water. And remove the skin and set it aside.

Wash carrots under running water. And peel the skin.

Grate the carrots in the hand grater. Do not grate the yellow piece of the carrot. The halwa is salty.

In a heavy bottom pot, add grated carrot and 1-liter of milk mixed together.

Cook until the milk is completely evaporated, stir at regular intervals.

When the liquid has almost completely evaporated. Add 1/2 cup of ghee and stir well.

Add 1/2 cup +2 tbsp more sugar and stir continue cooking until the halwa turns a deep reddish color.

Next, add crushed cardamom seeds. To make an aroma.

Next, add almonds.

When the gajar halwa starts thick, you will see ghee separating around the edges of the pot finally add khoya. Cook for 3 minutes more and turn off the heat.

Serve with warm.
