I am going to share on my food blog a very simple vegetarian dish. Chukandar Recipe is a simple, easy vegetarian Indian Dish Where fresh beetroot is cooked with onion-tomato-based gravy and mildly spices. This dish is the nutritional value of all-seasons is fresh beetroot. Some people like to add spinach to this dish to make it delicious which is great too. Full of flavor is a much try. It takes a very long to cook. Hence they are perfect for stovetop.

I make Chukandar in a different way. It can be made from a semi-dry dish to a gravy. I often make the Chukandar for the lunch. Pair this recipe with homemade roti and serve hot. We usually also have Tamarind Chutney |Imli Ki Chutney and a Khadi Masoor Dal Recipe along with this dish. Beetroot is also known as Chukandar in Hindi.
This one-pot vegetable Dish is one of the best recipes. I love to make chukandar which makes them a healthier choice for meals. I make this recipe every weak. It is one of our favorite lunch. I love simple and easy cooking way and following steps. It is absolutely one on my list for simple and easy lunch You can add spinach to this chukandar recipe. Add 1/4 cup oil. when the oil is hot, add chopped onion, chopped ginger, garlic, and saute for 1 minute to get rid of the smell out of the ingredients.

Add the chukandar cubes saute them for 1 minute on medium heat until the raw smell goes away.

And then add, everyday spices, turmeric.red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, chili flakes, salt, mix well.

Add chopped tomatoes mix well cook until the tomatoes turn soft. You will see tomatoes that are properly mushy.

Add 3 cups of water, mix it well. cook the chukandar for 30 minutes on low flame or cook them until it gets tender.

When the curry is completed cooked. add garnish with fresh chopped coriander, chopped green chili.

Ingredients
- 4 Medium Beetroots
- 2 Medium Tomatoes Chopped
- 2 Ginger Chopped
- 2 Garlic Chopped
- 2 Small Sizes Onion Chopped
- 1/4 Cup Oil
- 1 Tsp Red chili powder
- 1 Tsp Chili Flakes
- 2 Tsp Coriander powder
- 1 Tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 Tsp Salt your taste
- 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 3 Cups Regular Water
