Chatpata Gosht (Bhuna Gosht & lamb bhuna gosht) is a traditional Indian cuisine that is loved throughout India and Pakistan. How To Make Chatpata Gosht

Marinade The Meat

Wash the 1000-gram mutton meat and then add 2 tbsp homemade Ginger Garlic Paste (adrak lasan paste) and 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder mix well and let it rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Yogurt Mixture

Place a bowl, and add 1 cup of yogurt (dahi).

Adding Spices

  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons of coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of whole spices powder (garam masala)

Mix well till there are no leftover lumps.

Take a pot add slices onion(2 medium-sized), then add 1/2 cup of cooking oil.

Until the onion turns golden then add 2 bay leaf.

Now add the marinated meat and saute until changes color.

Next, add 2 tablespoons of red chili paste and stir well quickly.

Cook this on a medium flame stirring often until the liquid is gone.

Pour the fresh tomato puree. If using fresh red tomatoes, you will puree 250 grams of tomatoes in the blender.

Add salt as required.

Now add the yogurt mixture and pour 1 cup of water and mix well and cook for low-to-medium heat until the mutton meat is tender.

Until the oil begins to separate and the gravy thickens. Switch off the heat and serve.

  • 1000 Gram Mutton Meat Boti
  • 1 Tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Cup Yogurt (Dahi)
  • 1 Tsp Red chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin powder
  • 1 Tsp Whole Spices Powder (Gram Masala)
  • (2 medum-sized) Onion sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Refined Oil
  • 2 Bay Leaf
  • 2 Tbsp Red Chili Paste
  • 250 Gram Tomatoes puree
  • Salt as required.
  • Water as required
