Bharwa Mirchi (Stuffed Green Chillies)

Bharwa Mirchi (Stuffed Green Chillies) is not spicy with a bit of tang. The recipe is made with spices, gram flour, and tamarind pulp, this perfect side dish is served with Methi Moong Dal. Bharwa Mirchi is an Indian term where Bharwa means Stuffed and Mirchi means Chili.

How to make Bharwan Mirch

Take a tamarind pulp bowl and add, the following spices powder.

  • 1/2 Teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon gram flour (besan)
  • 2 tablespoons coriander Coarsely ground
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon cumin Coarsely ground
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Fennel powder
  • 1 teaspoon kalonji powder this is optional

Mix well until a paste.

Wash the long green chili and pat dry. With the help of a sharp knife, cut down along one of the sides of the green chili. Fill the 1 tablespoon prepare stuffing inside the green chili.

All the chili fill up and set aside and fry one by one.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan add place stuffed green chili and fry until golden on both sides.

  • Serve bharwa mirchi with Daal.
