1. Lauki: Lauki it is called bottle gourd, is a summer vegetable.

2. Milk: I have useful fat milk for the best result.

3. Ghee: This halwa should be make in ghee for the best result.

4. Cardamom: I have added crushed cardamom seeds and added them to the lauki halwa.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Medium Lauki (bottle gourd) 1/2 kg
  • 1 & 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 7 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1 pinch Green food color
  • 1/2 Tsp Cardamom powder eleichi powder
  • 1 Tsp Kewra water
  • Almond chopped As needed

How To Make Lauki Halwa

  • Wash and peel 2 medium lauki cut into halves, remove seeds and grate.
  • Heat non-stick kadai on medium to low-flame add grated lauki sauté lauki till the moisture dries.
  • Next, add 2 tablespoons ghee and sauté mix well lauki with the help of spatula.
  • Then add 7 tablespoons sugar and cook stirring on a medium flame for 1 minutes until sugar is dissolve.
  • Meanwhile, add 1 & 1/2 cup milk and mix well till the milk comes to a boil, the milk will start boiling flame is low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes until lauki are tender. check in between.
  • And then add 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1 teaspoon kerwa water,1 pinch green food color and cook on high flame until liquid dries up and lauki halwa start thickens and ghee released from the sides of the kadai.
  • Garnish lauki ka halwa with chop almond. It can be served warm.
