What Is Gajrela?

Gajrela is an Indian and Pakistan pudding it requires very confine and few ingredients to be included in this recipe. It is made with full-fat milk and simmered grated carrot then sweetened with sugar and Milk powder. It is flavored with cardamom powder and kewra water. The addition of chopped nuts gives this adorable crunch taste that can be served chill and warm.

How Many types of Kheer?

There are different types of Kheer.

Ingredients For Carrot kheer

Rice 1/3 cup

Milk 1 liter

Sugar 1/3 cup

Green cardamom powder 1 tsp

Rose water 1 tsp

Carrot shredded 1 cup

How To Make Carrot kheer

Grind The Rice

Wash the rice and soak for 2 hours in water 1 inch above the level of rice.And then drain the water.

Now place a large clean kitchen towel on a table. spread the rice on the kitchen towel. Let the rice grains dry in shade for about 1 hour. Do not dry it under the sun, but prefer doing it under shade.

You can dry it under the fan. Transfer rice to a grinder jar and grind to a slightly crushed.

Cook Kheer

In a pot, add the 1 litre milk, once the milk is come to a boil and then add 1/3 cup of sugar, and stir well over low heat.

Add crushed rice and cook for until rice are softed.

Lastly add 1 cup of shredded carrots and cook on low heat until Kheer will be thickens consistently.

Garnish with chopped pistachio and serve warm.
