2. Sugar– You can adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste. I have 3 tbsp sugar in it.

3. Semolinaa type of coarse flour that’s made from durum wheat, not from the other popular wheat type, known simply as common wheat. Durum wheat grains are golden in color.

4. Cardamon Powder-This has to be the most common kheer flavoring and is a must whenever I make kheer or any desi dessert. I use cardamon seeds, which I crush in a mortar and pestle, however, cardamon powder can also be used.

How To Make Sooji Kheer

Heat the milk on a medium-to-low flame in a pot.

When the milk begins boiling, add cardamom seeds mix, and stir well.

Next, add 3 tablespoons of sugar, you can adjust the sugar according to your taste and cook on medium flame until sugar dissolves completely.

Add semolina, and keep stirring for 2 minutes on medium flame.

Cook till the semolina are tender and soft, and it will absorb the milk and become thick the consistency.

Add chop almond and stir for 1 minute on high flame.

the kheer will also thicken further while cooling down.

Transfer the kheer into the serving bowl. Garnish with chop almond and dries rose petals, and place in the fridge to cool for 1 hour.
