Sawaiyon ka Zarda

Seviyan means vermicelli Seviyan is the Urdu word used for vermicelli noodles. It can be make without milk. It is very famous & is enjoy after meals.

Preparation For Making Sawaiyon

Soak almonds, pistachios are soaking in hot water for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, drain the water completely and peel the almond, pistachios cut into slices.

Make Sugar Syrup

Add 1/2 sugar,1 cup water to a cooking pot, and cook on a medium flame until sugar is dissolved in water and set aside.

Roast Nuts

In a non-stick pot heat 1/2 cup ghee, wait until ghee is hot then add almond, pistachios roast for a minute until nuts are golden. Take out the nuts from the oil. And set aside.

How To Fry Vermicelli (saviyan)

In remaining ghee and add crushed cardamom, fry half minutes until aroma comes to ghee. Next, add vermicelli (saviyan) and fry for 1 minutes until change color.

Mix together

Now add prepared sugar syrup over the saviyan and stir well and cover and cook for 10 minutes on low flame until water dries up when ghee is released from the saviyan. And then spread roasted nuts and serve immediately.

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 3-4 Cardamom
  • 10 Almonds
