They are particularly use as an addition to beverages and desserts.

Ingredients

1. Milk- chilled and cold milk.

2. Green syrup- It is this green syrup that makes your sharbat green in color, gives.

3. Basil Seeds-also known as sabja seeds or tukmaria. These basil seeds need to be soaked in water, after which they swell and almost double in size. They look transparent gray on the outside but still black on the inside and structure a gel-like coating.

4.Kewra Water-Kewra is known as screw pine essence in English and is separate from the thick leathery yellow-green flower petals of the pandanus tree. It s’ given a completely unique floral flavor and is utilized in Desi dessert.

5. Cardamon seeds– I use cardamon seeds, which I crush in a mortar and pestle, however, cardamon powder can also be used.

4. Nuts-You can add chopped almond and pistachio.

How to make Green Milk Sharbat

Take a glass add 2 tbsp of basil seeds and 1 cup of water and soak for 10 minutes.

In a jug, add 2 cups of cold milk and 4 tbsp of green syrup and mix well. And then add 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder,1 tsp of kewra water, and mix. Now add soaked basil seeds and mix. In two serving glasses add ice cubes and prepared sharbat and garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
