Chicken Philly Cheesesteak

Best Chicken Philly cheesesteak is a Tender strips of chicken, onions, capsicum, and cheese for an easy and delicious chicken Philly sandwich.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 Gram Chicken strips
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Cheese shredded
  • Cooking Oil as needed

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large non-stick skillet on the stove over medium-high heat.
  • When hot, add one tablespoons of vegetables oil. Then add sliced green capsicum and onions and stir fry until starting to become tender and caramelized, about two minutes.
  • Remove the cooked capsicum and onions from the pan and transfer for a plate or bowl.
  • Add the two of cooking oil to the pan. Then add the strips chicken and cook until Tender.
  • Add the peppers and onions back into the pan, along with the 1 tsp of black pepper powder, 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, salt, and Mix well.
  • Add 1/2 cup of shredded cheese to the top of the chicken and vegetables.
  • Put a lid on top of the pan to trap the heat and melt the cheese.
  • While the cheese is melting, toast the bread.
  • Remove the lid from the pan once the cheese has melted and use a large spatula to scoop up the chicken and vegetables and place them on the bread.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

1.Store the cheesesteak stuffing for 2-3 days in the fridge in an airtight container. Store the hoagies sealed on the counter for up to 2-3 days. Avoid refrigerating assembled sandwiches as the hoagie bread extracts liquid from the stuffing and gets soggy as time goes by.
2.Freeze for up to 1 months, freeze the stuffing separately from hoagie sandwich buns in airtight containers. Alternatively, assemble the sandwich and allow it to cool fully. Then wrap the sandwich in non-stick foil and freeze.
3.Reheat the refrigerated stuffing in the microwave until warmed through. Place stuffing into a ready hoagie bun and enjoy. To reheat from frozen, preheat the oven to 180c and place foil-wrapped sandwiches directly onto the rack. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until fully cooked through.
