Beef Stew

Beef stew or Stew meat is a popular Pakistani dish, where chicken is prepared with cashew nuts, poppy seeds, milk, ghee and yogurt. Serve it with naan or Boil Rice Here is how to make it.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 Gram Beef mix boti
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • 1 Tsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 Tsp Garlic chopped
  • 2 Medium Onion chopped
  • 4 Medium Tomato slices
  • 1/2 Cup Yogurt
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tbsp Red chili powder
  • 1 Tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 4 Whole red chili
  • 4 Green chili
  • 6 Black peppercorn
  • 1 Cinnamon
  • 1 Black cardamom
  • 2 Bay leaf
  • Coriander leaves chopped for garnish

How To Make Stew?

  • Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add 6 black peppercorns, 1 cinnamon, 1 black cardamoms, and 2 bay leaves, and let them crackle for 5-6 seconds.
  • Add 2 medium chopped onions and cook until they turn light brown (6-8 minutes), stirring frequently.Add chopped ginger and garlic and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Now add 500g beef meat and cook for 4-5 minutes.Add 1/2 turmeric powder,1 salt,1 tbsp coriander seeds, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 cumin seeds, 4 whole red chili,4 green chili and mix well.
  • Then,add 4 medium chopped tomato cook until tomato are softened.
  • Now add 1/2 cup yogurt and mix well.
  • Add 1 cup of water and stir to combine.Reduce the heat to low.Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 25-30 minutes until the beef is cooked well. Stir a few times while cooking.Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Check for salt and add more if needed.Serve hot.
